We're bound for Botany Bay

Description

This is the location where Captain James Cook landed in Australia, Cooks ship Endeavor laid anchor on southern Peninsula, Dutchman La Palouse had his ship anchored on the northern Peninsula, when Cook arrived in Botany Bay, the Dutchman wouldn't put a longboat into the water due to the amount of Sharks and Stingrays, Cook came ashore on the 29th April 1770 and claimed this land for England.

The monument commemerate the arrival of the first fleet in 1778, the sculpture in water Alison Page with Nik Lachacjzak designed Eye of the Land and Sea.

My Respect, goes to the Elder,past,present and future of the Gujaga and Gweagal people, and to the Elders past,present and future of all nations of the Native People of this land
